zx2r vs nsr250 (restricted)

Discussion in 'Bike Reviews, Questions and Suggestions' started by GForce, Jul 21, 2006.

  1. my mate has a nsr250 and he reckons it mighty fast and as fast as a RGV and RS250. the nsr is restricted so it has only 45hp. he keeps telling me that his nsr will kill my bike by more than 10 bike lengths.

i wont know until he gets his bike back on the road but what are your thoughts? are the restricted nsr that fast? what are its time for the 1/4 mile?

    plz express your thoughts.
  2. what does yours do at the 1/4?
  3. The NSR will whoop the zx2, restricted or not.

The nsr is a lot lighter than the kwaka, and once on the boil they go well.

It depends on which model NSR it is. If it's an MC28 (single swinger), then it probably will be truly restricted to 45hp.

If it's any of the earlier models, then it can easily be made to make more than the restricted limit, and probably will be. There aren't many MC18-21 NSR's around that are still restricted (any competent DIYer can derestrict them).
