Z-1R Frame issues

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by luvmyzed, Jul 29, 2012.

  1. Need help with an old Z-1R that l am restoring, l have had 3 before so l thought l knew them well but this one has me stumped.
The problem is the rear footrest mounts, they appear a lot smaller than they should be, compared to every other Mk-1 l have seen and have looked at on the net. But the frame has a proper Mk-1 frame number.
The small mounts are set higher on the sub frame than they should be which means the rear pegs mounting bolt will hit the chain guard , also the mounts are in the way of where the front chain guard bolt is, so you can't get the screw in.

Any help would be appreciated .
