YZF600R Icing Up?

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by Kenny, Aug 6, 2011.

  1. Riding down the freeway to work this morning my bike started running rough and misfiring.
As I got onto town back down to 60km/h it felt alot better, Could it have been one of the carbys icing up like an old car? And If so is there anything anyone can suggest to prevent it?
The bike has never missed a beat up until today so I'm just curious.
I gave the bike a good going over at work today just incase, new fiters and plugs, it's running fine now but I don't want any issues if I choose to ride on cold mornings.

    Thanks, Kenny.

  2. Your helmet should ice up well before the bike.
    Mine does, it's not fun.
