Yamaha SR250 recall for headlight bulb

Discussion in 'Bike Reviews, Questions and Suggestions' started by mashwoo, Aug 19, 2005.

  1. I have a 2001 model sr250 which I have been generally very happy with. This morning I got a letter asking me to take it to a Yamaha dealer to have the headlamp bulb replaced. Just letting anyone else here who has an sr250 which was re-released late 2001 onwards. I suggest you give Yamaha a call and find out if it affects your bike, the number in the letter is:
    (02) 9757 0010.

  2. Gotta say I'm impressed. Fair time and only a bulb.

I wish Australian car manufacturers were this legit.
  3. CORRECTION: the problem is:
"incorrect type of headlight lens" (quote from yamaha letter)
  4. I was hoping they were being recalled for destruction...
mind you my sr250 was a 1984 model...

  5. I am hugering for a bigger bike maybe bmw tourer, but the sr250 does economy very well. :D and I am rather cheap.
