News WSBK-derived ZX-10R for 2016

  1. KAWASAKI has announced the new 2016 ZX-10R, saying the machine has been deeloped from the veru succesful Superbike World championship winning machines.
    The engine is new, track-focussed and produces more horsepower than earlier models, although we don’t have figures yet and lighter internal components combine with new electronics to increase midrange response.
    The bike also features a new frame, ‘Balance Free’ Showa front forks, Brembo M50 aluminium monobloc calipers, large diameter semi-floating discs and stainless steel braided lines.
    The quick-shifter is stndard and there’s a race kit available.
    Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Project Leader, Yoshimoto Matsuda, affirms, “The 2016 Ninja proves that a fast race bike can create a responsive road bike that is easy to ride. Already we have a double championship winning design, now we’ve refined it further still to reflect Kawasaki’s enduring Ninja spirit.”

    New colours for 2016 model:

    • Lime Green Kawasaki Racing Team Replica (comes in both ABS and non-ABS)
    • Metallic Matte Carbon Gray (ABS only)

    Pricing is still to be annonced and you’ll be able to see one for the first time at the Sydney Motorcycle Show, November 20-22.
