Wrong way at Signpost

Discussion in 'Racing, Motorsports, and Track Days' started by AlGroover, Mar 24, 2008.

  1. I found this photo in my late father's collection.

Its labelled Walter Schneider / Hans Strauss Signpost corner. Now, my dad wasn't always terribly rigorous about labelling things and Signpost is a right hander but it could be right as the sidecar TT was run on the Clypse course that year (1957) and it is indeed a lefty. The photo was taken with an Agfa Silette camera with 45mm lens (I still have it with original receipt!) so my dad must have been standing in the middle of the road. Note the swish looking diamond pleated upholstery on the sidecar platform. Was Herr Schneider an upholsterer by trade?
  2. Reverse negative or slide. Was not too uncommon back in the 35mm days.

    Regards, Andrew.
  3. Wouldn't that make the number reversed also, and I don't mean to 32.
  4. My mother still has my late Father's Agfa Silette camera, in its original case, too.

Note the Amal Monobloc threatening to suck his boot off, too .
