Which way is clockwise?? Compression adjustment bottom of forks

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by scsaxott, Feb 24, 2015.

  1. Feel like this is probably a stupid question but I can't get my head around which way is clockwise adjusting my forks (showa forks on a ducati) What I mean is that is it clockwise from under the bike looking up from underneath the bike or does the screwdriver turn clockwise from a top down view. These are opposing approaches am I right or am I spinning my mind out as well as the adjustment screw!? thanks crew

  2. Clockwise looking at the fastener (adjustment screw) from where you'd place the tool to turn it.
So clockwise if you were looking up at the screw.

  4. got it thanks a lot. looking up at the screw
  5. Clockwise is always from your point of view (what your eyes are looking at).. You look at a nut, then clockwise is to the right..
  6. Top to the right not bottom to the right. I have had people make this mistake..
