Which tyres for Honda SL230 (1997)

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by onoj, Jul 15, 2006.

  1. Hi,

I've just bought a 1997 Honda SL230 dual sport bike. It came with Pirelli MT32 offroad tyres, but since I'll be riding almost 100% on the road, I'm looking to put on some road type tyres.

The only probelm so far has been tyre sizes and trying to find a tyre that comes in the right size for the rims (the rear seems to be the tough one to find a fit for)

    Stock tyres on the SL230 are (I think) Front 2.75 21 45P and Rear 120/80 18 62P (tube).

The bike currently has Pirelli MT32s Front 80/100 21 and Rear 100/100 18 (Tube).

Current possible tyres (pending sizes being available):

    Dunlop D607, D604 or GT501
Michelin Anakee, Sirac or Pilot Road
    Pirelli MT65

    Any advice appreciated!

  2. Got some Bridgestone BT45's to fit :)
