Where to find good bright indicators

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by Pjcliffo, Aug 14, 2014.

  1. Anyone found any for a reasonable price that are brighter than standard?

  2. eBay led ones
  3. I did, 17 led in each but not as bright as standard.
  4. You sure you not drawing current anywhere? from the ones I've seen, they are bloody bright!!
  5. It's all a bit hit and miss when buying out of China. Many don't have an actual brand on them.

If they aren't too small, but not bright enough, then depending on the construction you can always change the LEDs inside. Can you actually see each individual LED in the ones you bought ?
Can you open the assembly without causing damage ? If so then we can install brighter LEDs into the case.
  6. Number means nothing, the quality of the LEDs mean so much more.

Some OEM LED indicators with only 2 leds with proper optics are sufficiently bright to get your attention in peripheral vision, but they sure as hell won't be $12.99 for a pair including shipping, that's the catch.
