Where to find a clutch holding tool?

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by QuarterWit, Nov 30, 2009.

  1. Hey Guys!

Motionpro aren't being imported anymore, and I need one to secure the inner clutch hub while torquing the retaining bolt up. I know the old trick of getting welding a screw driver to a clutch plate or something like that, but I don't have a welder at the moment.

Unless there's another tool that can do the job?

  2. I always just put it in top gear and wedge the brake pedal down or put a tie down strap through the rear wheel.
  3. Get a mate to put a foot on the rear brake.
  4. I don't have any mates.

But thanks for the suggestions! I'll give it a shot...
  5. Lump of timber through the back wheel, if you don't have spoked wheels
  6. Nah, got spokes. We'll see how we go with the other suggestions...
  7. I gave up buying Motion Pro tools off the Aussie importer a while back. Lack of stock and triple the price were the main reasons. I now buy through these guys. Takes about a week to get here from the US.

  8. Thanks for the link mate, I'll get in touch with them.
