As the title says, where is the engine number located an a 1996 GSXR 750?
I'm guessing it's probably stamped into the top RHS of the crankcase - that seems to be where most Suzukis put it.
Does anyone have a definite answer as im having a hard time finding it?
I ride a GSX750F, and the engine number is right hand side of the engine, top of crankcase as already suggested. For my bike the number is also hard to see, I have to use a torch and point it in a gap in the fairing to see it. I'd think that the number is in the same spot for all Suzukis, being off a production line.
The number must be able to be seen with the fairing on, because they must be able to read it pronto when the bike goes for a rego inspection.
Get a torch, point it in the gap above the crankcase on the RHS and you'll see it, unless it is covered by dirt/oil/grime/grease. If it is, get the fairing off and clean it, not too hard.
