Where can I get my 1pc suit altered?

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' at netrider.net.au started by wikky, Aug 15, 2008.

  1. Hi guys,

I've just aquired a Teknic 1pc suit, 2nd hand but in excellent conditon. I'm wanting to get a back protector/hump attached but have no idea where I can get this done. Anyone have any suggestions? I live in north central Vic if that helps.
    Thanks in advance guys,
  2. Wikky,

I've just had alterations done on some draggins by katcando. I think she works with leather, is a netrider partner and may be able to help.

    Good luck

  3. Mars leathers in Elizabeth St, Melb.
  4. Cheers guys, I didn't think to look in the Partners directory. I've emailed a few places to see if they can help me out.
    Thanks again.
  5. This guy's a pro, works from home:

Did my leather pants alteration (waist-line!) very well, $60.
  6. Cheers for that Whitenite.
  7. Anywhere similar in Sydney?

why don't you make yourself known on the welcome forums?
  9. Point taken.

I guess a little more info would help.
Bought a pair of A* track pants, and they fit really well. Except, they are either really inflexible or too tight when i, ahem, spread my legs  . Basically they way they are now, its a struggle to move around on the seat. If i wanted to put my knee down (which i can't anyway) I'd have to really force my knee out and even then it doesn't go as far as if i was wearing other pants. I've stretched them out a bit myself and that has helped but i was hoping to take them somewhere to have a professional look at. "Why didn't you get a larger size?" I hear you ask. As I said, they fit really well otherwise, and are fine to sit on the bike it's just widening my knees thats the prob. That and the size up fitted terribly...baggy, loose waist, knee/shin protection all over the place. I'm pretty certain these are the right size for me it's just this one problem.
So if anyone can recommend a leather specialist in Sydney, or any ideas, I'd be very grateful.
