What is this??

Discussion in 'The Pub' at netrider.net.au started by damedi, Aug 17, 2015.

  1. Moved into new house a year ago. The previous owner left 2 of these behind with the pile of appliance manuals etc.

I filed them away in the 'drawer of doom' at the time with the thought that I'd work out what they were when they were needed.... A year on, and cleaning out said drawer; came across them again... Still no idea what they are for.

    Any ideas??

  2. Assuming that you're not joking.

They are removable handles for saucepans/pots.Usually used on BBQs.

Jeez kids today mumble grumble etc.

  3. Handle for oven trays?
  4. detachable handles for pots
  5. Bottle top opener for jars or could double as a back scratcher.
  6. how did your post appear before mine
the time stamp on yours is one minute later
  7. I pay the Mods.
  8. not in coin I bet
  9. Excellent! Thanks all!

    No, not joking.

Obviously handles for 'something' but there is nothing to use them on. Thought maybe I was missing something... Now can definitely be added to the discard pile.
  10. not pots, for baking trays...

if it was a pot, the handle would be vertical when in use..
the raised bit is for the lip of the baking tray

sorta useful if you bake stuff (meat, veges)...

I bet Doris thought it was the bees knees for making scones
