What Bike is this????

Discussion in 'Bike Reviews, Questions and Suggestions' started by TAX123, Oct 28, 2008.

  1. was watching top gun, and saw the bike but cant tell for sure what bike it is, some say its a 750r which its colors make it out to be, but others swear its a 900

    take a shot?

  2. The 750 was air cooled.

Definitly a 900. it was the 'bussa of the late 80s.
  3. this is the 900

    this is the 750

it looks more like the 750r to me, some say that the 900 didnt suit tom cruise with his size but if that was the case they would have got him the 250r but they didnt come out till a few years after the movie
  4. i thought both the 900 and 750 are LC
  5. It looks like the 750R is liquid cooled (A bike I wasn't aware of). there is definitely a air cooled GPZ750:

the 750R must have been an under-bored (or destroked) 900.

so scratch my comments as it could be either.

ok your comment is scratched, but we're back at square 1, , why would they get a 900 and paint it in the 750 colors? why not just have it the red or the blue, and then why import a 750r when they could have picked up a 900, its just a fact i wanted answered, but there is no 100% proof of either on the net, some say 900 others 750r

here is the clip of him racing the f18

  7. What hope is there for this thread if one of the US's most easily identified fighter aircraft can't even be identified as an F-14 Tomcat? ;)
  8. hahaha the F14 and F18 look more different than the 750r and 900r

if one of the bikes had folding wings it would make it easy pickings

my bad on f18, just used to that name as standard cause we aussies use that one, thats right its f14 tomcat right

  10. You! You are still dangerous. You can be my wingman anytime.

    /ot, def GPZ900.
  11. More likely the Gixxer thou of the mid eighties, the GPZ1100 was the busa of the eighties and held the fastest (highest speed) production bike title for a while.
