So everyone in Sydney knows how bad the weather was last night??? Strooooong winds & lotsa rain. I had the pleasure of riding home in the thick of it at 2am this morning . The wind was so strong that I thought I was going to get blown off on several occasions. Adopted a motogp "tuck" posture to minimise frontal area mostly, but that doesn't really help too much when you hit a side gust! The wind left a trail of debris in many spots, so on the freeways (Southern Cross Drive & M5) I stayed away from the left lanes. Lucky at 2am you can get away with not keeping left with the lack of traffic. Not many road users around at that time. The rain was bearable even if it seemed horizontal, but the wind was unrelentingly fierce. Speed seemed to fluctuate up to 10 km/h depending on how strong the wind was blowing. Couldn't hear the engine over wind noise on the helmet. Very bike-unfriendly weather. Hope it settles down soon. Can put that down as another learning riding experience. Be careful out there.
