Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' at netrider.net.au started by twinrock, Aug 26, 2009.

  1. were or can i get them or can i modify then to be softer thanks they r on another bike much lighter then an r1

  2. You can modify your suspension to match your weigh as the srings are already tensioned to a certain weight.
    Best mod you can do
  3. Are you saying you have R1 suspension fitted to a different bike?

Sorry, I have a reasonable grasp of English but this has thrown me a bit...

The springs will be rated to suit the R1, its weight bias and its rider. Winding off the preload will have zero effect on the spring rate. It will only move the ride height up or down. Teknic will be able to help you with lighter rated springs.

Then you can delve into the dark arts... Damping.
