Wayne Gardner Day

Discussion in 'Racing, Motorsports, and Track Days' started by Factory, Oct 5, 2008.

  1. How about the first Monday after the Oz GP every year be a public holiday in recognition of the fact that, without him there would be NO Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

  2. I'd vote for it, but I doubt Kevin even knows who Wayne Gardner is. So let me jog his mind with a picture of the boy's first-ever foray on tar

  3. +1 WG Day

Cool Pic whats he riding a TT Yammy?
  4. As I recall it was a YZ-125 motocross bike, with radically-altered gearing and some strange road tyres! That was the Wollongong Motorcycle Club end-of-year race meeting at Oran Park, December 1976. All the dirt bike riders got some sort of road bike out, or converted a dirt bike, and fanged around the old short circuit.
  5. Wait until he dies, before we make memorials.
  6. Nah, we need it now!!!
  7. +1 to another long weekend !
  8. it's already a long weekend in South Australia!
