How do you take your cornering up a notch? I was riding back from Ringwood to Eltham this afternoon, having some fun through some nice bends, when I had one of those ohshit! moments... Uphill sweeping left, start out wide, have that "hmm have I overcooked this?" thoughts, then see the 2 cruisers coming the other way... still very much on their side of the road, and I on mine, but my heart skipped a beat or two (and you can see what happened to my lines here if interested...) So I reached the point where I knew that I needed to tighten up my line. Sitting here in front of the computer I know that I could have either leaned over more, or pushed the bar more, or both. In the moment I think I tensed up and rolled off the throttle!!! So how do you translate the theory one knows into reactions one makes while riding? What are the best ways of improving your cornering beyond 101?
