Want to paint front mudguard (plastic)

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by qwerty1234, Dec 13, 2005.

  1. My old 1985 yz250 looks pretty good these days with new grips, handlebars, cables, barkbusters and rear mudguard however its got a front mudguard from an RM so its yellow. I'd like to paint it white if possible and have been trying a few practise goes on some yellow plastic but I just can't stop it from either running or bubbling, is there an easy way to do it without it bubbling and looking nice a smooth however it doesn't have to be shiny and perfect just a nice smooth surface that doesn't have any ugly bubbles, cracks etc on it. Or would it just be a lot easier and cheaper to get a new or like new mudguard?

Also the fuel tank is looking a little dirty on the lower half and so far I havn't been able to clean it up much using both steel wool and heavy duty truck cleaner (although its great for removing scratches). Any suggestions?
