VTR250 - Replacing rear brake lever help

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by JP, Nov 17, 2008.

  1. I ordered a new brake lever to replace the one that's a bit bent out of shape at the moment. So I removed the arm that holds up the passenger pillion peg, so far everything is going well. Then I encounter this:

    (Sorry for the poor photo)

What's that deal with that washer with the two holes. I've never seen anything like that before.
If possible could one of the guys from Wollongong give me a hand with this job? And will I need a new one of those washers?
    Thanks
  2. I can fix it for you tomorrow night. I presume the bike is not now rideable, give me a ring and tell me where to get to.
  3. No, the bike is still rideable :)
    Remember the Bombala incident?
Since then the lever sits at a slight inwards angle, and I figured it would be easier to order the cheap part than try to bend it back properly.
So I can ride to your place :)
I'll give you a ring tomorrow
