Vtr250 EFI Ugly panels

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by Riggler, Sep 26, 2016.

  1. Recently purchased a 2010 VTR250 and have to say it's a wonderful bike but appearance wise doesn't have the same appeal as the earlier mini-monster VTR's.

The biggest problem is the large plastic pieces covering the tank sides. Now I've taken them off and believe it looks better but I just wanted to know if it's safe to keep it uncovered or if anyone here has any alternatives to removing them? See pictures for reference

    As always cheers riders :watching:

  2. Paint the panels black and reattach, or get a second pair from a wrecker and paint them black and attach.
To me it looks poor and unfinished with them off, but I know what you mean about the Ducati Monster look they had.

  3. Might plasti dip them black and see how it looks. It just takes a good looking bike and makes it look 'soft'. The white/grey/black colour scheme pulls it off well though
