VIC Vicroads changes the rules.....again

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' at netrider.net.au started by mike8863, Jan 18, 2012.

  1. Latest Vicroads twist...

Grey imports to date have had the vin number fixed as a label on the frame. Which up until recently has been perfectly fine...

We went to re-register a grey import over the recent xmas break and you guessed it ...labels are no longer acceptable. The good folks at vicroads now require the vin number to be stamped on the frame.....so off you go, there's a good fellow and that will be a $15 'appointment transfer fee' on top of the already outrageous $50 fee to get off their ar$es and read 3 numbers off the bike....

This is not a topic for discussion, as with vicroads there is no discussion...

So, if your about to register or re register ( ie previously registered, but lapsed ) a grey import, you have been warned....make sure to get out the punch set and stamp those numbers.

  2. This happened to me last Easter at vicroads sunshine. After paying for the inspection fee twice and the stamp fee my bike died 3 days later.
  3. $65 to get them to do their job… nice.

If they sit there and jerk off to goat p0rn, they get paid $x/hr amount, with expenses of $y.

If they do their work and help you register their bike, they get paid the same amount, with the same expenses. In a for-profit company, this is understandable and ok, but they're supposed to be public servants.

    Burn it all.
