  1. Announced on a news bulletin just now, Vicroads officials will be out and about from this weekend with the power to issue infringement notices for anything they see occurring on the roads.

So far I haven't found an official statement but it appears that they have been given equivalent powers to police in relation to all road matters. So, it looks like their opinion is good enough on matters such as speed etc.

Previously, Vicroads concentrated it's efforts on freight and transport, but this announcement highlights a move towards tightening it's grip on the entire population and squeezing a few more drops of blood out.

I'll bet this'll help get the surplus over the line for EOFN.

Take note all Victorians who use roads.

  2. So how is this different to what they currently can do??
    Am I missing something?
