[VIC] Re Locked Thread Titled "Is This Legal?"

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' started by agro, Oct 13, 2008.

  1. You might find the info you seek here: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonlyres/2F4D64FE-B1A5-48D1-B848-19CD5F8176D7/0/VSI4.pdf

    Cheers :)
  2. Would have been easier to shoot the guy a pm
  3. Probably.....but at least the link is there if others want it..... :)
  4. Thanks very much for taking the time to start a new topic to reply mate.
Didn't really mention directly about fender eliminators.. Came close with the mudguard thing to prevent stuff flying up. It doens't exactly specify how big the guard must be?

Could it be argued that the smaller plate you mount your licence plate on is your mud guard and does prevent stuff flying up, at least to a certain extent?
  5. If you look at section 3.6 in the faq sheet it says that the rear indicators can't be less than 300mm apart. How far apart are they on the fender eliminator? I think that would eliminate the eliminator.
  6. Yeah you're right. Do you run an eliminator anyway agro?
  7. ADRs say:
When there is a rider in the seat (weighing either 70kg or 90kg I forget which), the rear fender must extend to reach a line
45degrees up from the rear axle. The rear fender must also be the
    full width of the tyre.

Doesn't say anything about adjustable suspension :)
