[VIC/NSW] Licence penalties interstate

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' at netrider.net.au started by jitboy, Feb 6, 2008.

  1. I'm just wondering if I have a Victorian licence but am driving in NSW but my Victorian licence may have somehow been suspended momentarily, is my licence void in NSW also?

I'm assuming yesss but it can't hurt to ask. If you could point me to the appropriate area of the vicroads or RTA website that would be great. Thanks!

  2. Yes.

No need for reference, that's the answer!
  3. NSW and other states recognise your VIC issued license. That recognition also extends to it's suspension. The state you visit outside VIC will only accept your license if it remains valid in it's state of issue.
  4. yes yes and yes, other states will only reconize you current and valid Vic licence, if canceled/suspened you cannot drive/ride anywhere on public roads
