    "Day 7
    Friday 4 December

    Apollo Bay to Anglesea
    75kms

It doesn't get much better than this! 75km all along the Great Ocean Road and car-free to boot. This section of the road is just for bikes for this day only. Every bend offers a new view as you ride along the waters edge and breathe in the fresh sea air."

  2. That's okay. It sets a precedent for when we want a whole day to ourselves.

  3. Porsche managed it

  4. That whole week would be a good time to avoid the SW of the state with all those mad cyclists taking over the roads from Portland to Geelong.

  5. Oh well, that settles that. I was about to organise our annual mid-week ride to Apollo Bay for the Thurs-Friday (3-4 Dec).

    Bugger them for this.

  6. I did that ride once. Most of the route took us inland away from the main Great Ocean Road stretches. Of the entire 10 day ride there were only 2 to 3 days in total that we exclusively rode on the GOR.

Of course, there's no guarantee that the route hasn't changed this time around.
