[VIC] Diesel/oil, cnr Normanby/Gardiner Rd Clayton

Discussion in 'Hazardous Road Condition Reports' at netrider.net.au started by phongus, May 2, 2012.

  1. Noticed a large patch of oil/diesel of some sort on the corner of Normanby and Gardiner Rd (Map), turning left from Gardiner onto Normanby. It covers the whole corner and most of the lane on Normanby Rd as you enter.

I cautiously turned at a much slower rate than usual but still managed to slip a bit on the rear.

Also if anyone is riding on the Westgate Fwy inbound towards Burnley tunnel, at the Montague exit queue up, just after the Citylink-Westgate merge ramp, there is a bundle of large chains and hook (presumably from a truck) laying in the middle...ran over it, but luckily at a slow pace. (somewhere around here...google maps is not up to date so got me confused)
