[VIC] Alpine region march 10 push bike event

Discussion in 'Hazardous Road Condition Reports' at netrider.net.au started by stu_h, Feb 5, 2013.

  1. Scody three peak challenge is on.

The event has over 1,200 cyclists registered to ride the 235km loop circuit, which features three major climbs - Tawonga Gap, Mount Hotham and Falls Creek.

Due to the large number of cyclists taking part in the event, the following list highlights the areas of restricted vehicle access and changed traffic conditions in the Victorian Alpine Region on Sunday 10 March, 2013:

    Areas of Restricted Vehicle Access
    5.30am - 9am: Bogong High-Plains Rd (C531) - Falls Creek Village to Mount Beauty
    7am - 10.30am: Tawonga Gap Road (C536) - Mount Beauty to Germantown
    1.30pm - 8pm: Bogong High-Plains Rd (C531) - Glen Valley to Falls Creek Village
Note: Restricted vehicle access refers to areas that are closed to all vehicles except Emergency Vehicles and Official Event Vehicles.

    Areas of changed traffic conditions
  2. If all goes to plan, I'll be one of the motorcycle marshalls on that event. :)
  3. the fires in the area pose no threat?
  4. March 10 not feb 10.

    Should be good by then.
  5. Whoops, that's what I get for not reading properly.

You'd hope it'd be good by then.
