VFR750 - removing fuel tap

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by bluehornet250, Dec 27, 2008.

  1. Hi all,

my dad's VFR750 seems to have a fuel blockage within the fuel tap (inside tank).

how do i go about removing the tap?? or any other suggestions??

    thanks heaps

  2. with a tool
    take of the tank
    then with a tool
    take of the fuel tap
  3. You forgot to point out to empty the fuel tank first ;).

If the tap is blocked then it usually means the filter in the tank is stuffed, in which case it's also an idea to check the carbs to make sure no crap got through before it clogged the fuel tap.
  4. Another typical Honda design - putting the fuel tap where the choke's supposed to go.
If only they'd found some way of making a fuel tap that turns itself on.......:p
