Cleaning out the cupboard to make space and I have some older gear to sell that has been retired from use. Hoping to help new riders out who are in need of some used but well-made gear. Condition ranges from very well-used to presenting as new. Items are located in Hughesdale 3166. Pickup only as I would prefer potential buyers to come and try on the gear. PM me to arrange inspection. Larger/additional images are available by following the links. 1. VERY well-used Shift leather jacket. Size mens M but now fits like an L. Probably suit a size 42 inch (52 euro) chest. Never crashed but plenty of patina. Good leather construction however shoulder logos were removed as they were peeling. There is also cracking on some of the non-leather logo areas (see larger photos). Has removable quilted vest liner, shoulder and elbow armour. Stretch panels in arms. More pics here. Price: A six pack of quality porter or stout and it's yours. 2. Well-used Spidi cordura jacket. Size mens M, to suit a size 40-42 inch (50-52 euro) chest. Has seen plenty of use commuting but doesn't fit me anymore. Exterior shows signs of wear as I wore this in bad weather due to the fact it was actually waterproof, hence never cleaned it. I have replaced it with another Spidi cordura jacket as I was impressed that it kept me dry and warm during the crappy Melbourne winter commutes. The waterproof liner is built in so the jacket is not really appropriate for summer riding. Has removable quilted full-length liner, shoulder and elbow armour. The silver coating around the liner collar is cracking, probably my only niggle with Spidi jackets of this era. Shorter, sportier-style cut of cordura jacket as opposed to the longer ones that cover your bum. More pics here. Price: $60. 3. Used Clover cordura jacket. Size mens L, to suit 42 inch (52 euro) chest, but has some room for adjustment. Bought second-hand and rarely used. Has been washed and treated with Nikwax products as the inner elbow let a bit of moisture through when I wore it in the rain. Not worn since. The neck and pocket velcro needs to be re-stitched to the jacket, not a big job but I never bothered. Longer-style jacket, great in cold weather. Has removable quilted full-length liner, shoulder and elbow armour. More pics here. Price: $60. 4. Collins Leathers womens or small mens leather jacket. Size label (40L) is incorrect so refer larger pics for measurements. Approximately 45cm long front zipper, 60cm long at rear from neck to waist and 53cm armpit to armpit as measured along the front. Probably suited to someone of shorter stature. Black with two silver stripes down each arm. Presents as new with the exception of some of the silver rubbed off. Bought for my dad years ago as he is a smaller guy but he wore it once and gave it back as he preferred cordura. It's too big for my girlfriend and has just been sitting in the cupboard. Arm and back ventilation zips. Shoulder and elbow armour, and a soft back pad. Elbow armour was not installed in pics but is now back in. Great quality leather jacket, made with tough, heavy leather and basically brand new. I went for a slide in a Collins Leathers two-piece suit of the same era years ago - it held up magnificently and was only retired once it became too small. This jacket should last for years. More pics here. Price: $200. 5. Texport one-piece leather suit. Size mens euro 50. Probably suited to someone with 38-40 inch chest and 32-34 inch jean size. Never used as bought as a backup and now it's too small for me. Presents as new with minor marks from storage. Armour in shoulders, elbows and knees. Perforated leather panels on arms and thighs. Stretch panels on arms and legs and accordion leather panels throughout. In my experience one-piece suits are the way to go in terms of comfort compared to two-piece suits. I would strongly suggest bringing Skins or some form of "slippery" compression wear if you want to try these on as it makes getting in and out a lot easier. More pics here. Price: $400. 6. Starider childrens leather/cordura jacket. Size childrens 8. Ripper little jacket that was used for the occasional times I took my stepdaughter riding when she was in primary school. Now she fits her mum's gear. I feel old. Padding in shoulders, arms and back. Removable quilted vest. A proper motorcycling jacket for the little ones. More pics here. Price: $40.
