valve shim adjust tool HOME MADE

  1. g,day boys,, and of course girls,,

    am new to the posts here, but have been round m/cycles [XS1100's] for many yrs,,, anyhoo why we're here to day is, I have made in my shed, [for the princely sum of $6],, a device to hold the valve buckets down while adjusting the shim clearances,,,, one could knock it over on a saturday arvo easily

    whilst this one was measured to suit my XS 1100,, the same theory can be used to purpose build one for any model bike

    I'm not very good with these computers, can't post photo's, so here's the link


    there is also a valve spring compress tool there as well

    with each picture there is a step by step note at the bottom

    I trust this will save some one a few bills,, in buying the part and shop charges for those D.I.Y ers
