Valuation needed - YZ250 D 1977

Discussion in 'Bike Reviews, Questions and Suggestions' started by beefie, Jan 9, 2006.

  1. Can someone please help me put a price on my late
    father's bike.
    Its a 1977 Yamaha YZ250 D.
Its in reasonable condition and looks to be very original.

  2. There is an ever growing market in Classic Motocrossers out there. Even a dedicated magazine at the newsagent. Perhaps you could get hold of that one for a good indication.
  3. thanks G for the quick reply.
    what magazine would you suggest?
  4. I've seen, but haven't read it as such at my local newsagent. It has a Brunswick Green type cover. Unfortunately, the newsagent is closed now, but I'll check tomorrow when I pick up the paper.
Another option if you're in Vic is to give Mick Hone Box Hill a call as I understand he sources a lot of parts for the "Vintage" motocrossers and is a Yamaha and Suzuki dealer as well.
  5. I had a look. Unfortunately, they no longer stock it; new owners.
From recollection, it was either called Classic or Vintage Motocross.
    Possibly an English magazine.
  6. OK. Thanks for looking, I will go see if I can find it.
  7. You're welcome.
Melbourne Technical Books or MacGills in the CBD are a good bet.
