Using Nokia C5 GPS..."Safety" warnings?

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' at netrider.net.au started by CrazyCam, Mar 18, 2013.

  1. Do any of you folks use a Nokia phone, with in-built GPS, on your bikes?

If so, do you get the "safety" warnings for speed cameras?

I've been using my C5 reasonably happily as a GPS, setting the unit up for where I want to go, plug in earphones, slip phone into pocket and off I go. :)

The only thing I don't get is the speed camera warnings. :(

    Any thoughts?

(Please don't suggest getting an iPhone, as I have religious objections to them.)

  2. Not familiar with the C5, but with my old Nokia, it was a setting in the options to turn it on, default setting is off because I believe it is illegal in some countries.
  3. Nodded for this (y)
