  1. Hi everyone

A quick question: how many k's is considered "too many" or "a lot" for a 250cc 4 stroke bike? What is the expected life for a 250cc yamaha scoot?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. I got a 100cc Yamaha Aerox - and it's over 4 years now. I've used it pretty much every day of the year to work.

  3. mine has 3800km on it Vmoto 50cc.. no idea on your yamaha's but id say they are probably better built than what mine is.. KM usage isint always the thing to look for tho..
  4. Hi! Thanks for the reply.

What other aspects would you say are worth taking into account?
  5. oil leaks on crank case
wear and tear around the moving parts,
if its got hydraulic sups check for fluid leaks.
    service history
    breaks, disks and pads
drum breaks im unsure how to check with out dismantling.
    squeak.squeal when breaks applied.
    exhaust for cracks etc..

just the basics id say ;)

if it moves... check it ... if it looks like it should move but doesnt... check it ;)

take an expereinced rider with you for a look as second opinions are always good!

im a n00b myself... but plenty of experience on here!
  6. You will probaly need a rebuild at 40K.
Before then check, for belt, variator and rollers.
Plus all the usual stuff (wheels, steering frame)
