Tyre pressure for 91 Honda VFR400

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by cuvy, Feb 2, 2006.

  1. Hi,

A mate has a 91 Honda VFR400 and was wondering what the tyre pressures should be - anyone know? He's on the lighter side, around 50-60kg i'd say.

  2. According to the Hayne's manual, should be 33psi front and back, if carrying a pillion the rear should be increased to 36psi.
  3. awesome, thanks.

Just out of interest, do you have any electronic copies of manuals for this bike?

  4. I run around 36lbs in the front & rear of my '93 NC30. Seems to give nice even tire wear with no loss of grip. This is on Dunlop GPR100 tires. Just finished a 9500km trip all around New Zealand & on the second rear tire I bumped it up to 38lbs. No loss of grip that I could feel but can't really rate tire wear as road surfaces are completely different between North & South Island. Has not worn any quicker from my extremely precise & scientific eyecrometer measuring system
