Trail Bikes - NSW Capacity allowed to be registered?

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by newbiki, Feb 5, 2016.

  1. Im new to bikes and would like to know if a 125cc can be registered in NSW to ride on the public roads?

  2. Maybe...... It's not capacity dependent.

What bike do you have in mind?

If it is reasonably recent, has an ADR compliance plate on it, working turn signals, lights, horn, etc.
yes, you probably can rego it.

There used to be a database, accessed from the RMS website that had a list of all reasonably recent bikes which could be registered in NSW.......... but the buggers moved it, so I can't tell you where it is now. :-(

    BTW, welcome.

You'll probably get moved 'cos new members are expected to let the rest of us know they are here in the Welcome Lounge.
  3. Pretty sure I have seen some ttr125 with rego
  4. A postie is less than that. Its not cc dependent.

Its based on whether that model has been approved. The klx150 is approved and available brand new.
  5. You can register any ADR approved bike. Some scooters have 50ccs or less and can be registered.
