Touchup paint stone chips

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by Widget, Jan 30, 2015.

  1. Hey guys,

    Looking to touch up a few marks on my tank but haven't had much luck finding the correct colour code, or know how to paint. Wondering if anyone knows (cheapish) places around western sydney that are good at colour matching, do a decent job but not charge big?

    Bike is 2008 Suzuki GS500, tank is some sort of blue (metallic)

    Thanks :)
  2. WidgetWidget .. so i did a bit of Googling.. and found this info

    You can get color codes (and paint if you wish) at www.colorrite.com (enter year, make, model and get ALL colours used). It is usually the last 3 characters of a part number such as the fuel tank:

    TANK ASSY,FUEL( (GS500F E3,E28,E95 FOR CWH )

    From what i can tell the colour is called Pearl Vigor Blue

    If you speak to a Suzuki dealer and get the color code then you can also use the following page to get the colour name;

    • Informative Informative x 1
  3. Thanks Jay, much appreciated :)
