  1. I have inherited quite a few tools from my father who was a motor mechanic and had his own service station. He would agree to give a tank of fuel in exchange for something like a watch as a guarantee of later payment even from people who were just passing through. Many, of course, never honoured the committment. It was a risk but he preferred to take the risk for those who were honest rather than be hard-arsed. Its just the way he was. In line with his ways I am offering these in case they may help someone.

I would estimate these tools are anywhere from 15 to 50 years old. These are a workmans tools so dont expect them to be in pristine condition. I have thrown out a few that were clearly too worn or damaged and all remaining seem usable.

A few have been modified in some way, for example, grinding the end of one of the spark plug sockets so it would fit in a tighter space. A lot carry a scratching of my fathers initials (if that matters to you just grind/sand it off).

Some are name brands like sidchrome, dowidat or minimax but most are various unknowns. Oh, and if you dont know what whitworth, AF etc are then those are not likely of any use to you

Free to good homes as long as you are willing to pick up at Homebush Ls session from 1-2pm any Sat (see my sig for location). If anyone is interested tell me what items and I'll bring em down with me. Posting isnt worth it (sorry if you're not in Sydney).

  3. What, all of em ? There are dups such as 3 * 11/32 sockets that'll only be of use if you have more than two hands ;), which of course would very handy :ROFLMAO: ?

  4. Lol. Yup all of them. I'll take just one if there are dups. The things I could do with more than 2 hands though.

  5. Don't be so greedy.

Ask for what you NEED, not what you want. Thread title says 'Free to good HOMES', not home.

    Justus.

  6. For your use, OK? Do note that the spanners and sockets are NOT metric .... they wont be of use working on your bike for example. If that's all good then I'll see if I can pull out something of a set to bring down but do note that you need to make sure you can carry them.
