This is a fun, light read. The young hero Tom purchases a new, but crashed, motor cycle (1909 or 1910 model?). Tom improves the motor cycle by changing the sprocket ratios, improving the spark levers, and gains 15% more out of the machine. This is fortunate because his father - an inventor - has designed a turbine and thieves steal the blueprints and model before he can patent it. Tom sets off on an adventure to recapture the blueprints and apprehend the cowardly ruffians. But along the way he has some adventures, which test the wit and metal of the young man.

Warning, 100 year old portrayals of race are present.

  2. There's a nice unintentional pun, there, Matt, testing his metal should be testing his mettle, but it still works :ROFLMAO:

  3. Whoops. True, both are tested - I'll leave it as is! :)
