  1. Just a quick question. Will a hyperlink generated in a microsoft word document still work if it is cut & pasted into a thread here? Thanks in advance.

  2. It should still work unless it is actually linking locally. (ie, to C:\ inyour PC)
  3. Cool. No -not linking to my pc but to photobucket. Still struggling on how to turn these new fangled computer devices on & off so any help appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Hi Roarin,

If the hyperlink is in the format https://netrider.net.au it will work, copying a link from word will only copy the text, not the code behind it that actually tells the link where to go :)

If you've not got the proper link, open word and CTRL click on the link and copy the web address from your browser.

    Long way to answer ;)
  5. Okay then. Lets try this one. Japan & Austrias Finest
  6. You need the correct code in here for the link to work see below. Im assuming you want the site name to bean active link

Please note I have put spaces before & after = & also before [/url}so you can see it

    [url = http://www.siteurl.com]SITENAME [/url]
  7. Let try another one
  8. Looks like it works for me.
    Bice bikes. :]
    Nice road.
  9. Plenty more where those came from dude   Working on a bit of a trip report for the month I spent hooning round New Zealand.

PS The code only seems to work if it is generated in the post reply area. Cutting & pasting from word does not seem to work

  10. You should be able to copy and paste it from word but no the 'code' (BBCode) used in phpBB (the software that runs the netride forums) is different to what Word uses so you will need to go through your copied text and add the pictures in.

    More info on the
BBcode can be found just to the lower left of the text area you use for posts as well as the link at the start of this sentence.

If you REALLY want to get tricky perhaps you can sort out the bugs in this guys Word macro for him and finish off his converter (unless he has already done so)
