In the Sydney Morning Herald today here: Pizza scooters left thin and crispy by fire for second time in a year Julie Power May 22, 2012 - 9:17AM Thin and crispy ... the destroyed scooters. Thin and crispy ... the destroyed scooters. Photo: Wolter Peeters Hope you like your scooters as thin and crispy as your pizza. For the second time in less than a year, arsonists have destroyed an entire fleet of pizza delivery scooters outside Domino's Pizza on Darlinghurst Road, Darlinghurst. Police from Kings Cross Local Area Command are investigating the cause of the early morning fire which destroyed seven scooters outside the pizza franchise. Police confirmed that they are treating the fire as arson. The pizza business was not damaged but all seven scooters were destroyed. They're also investigating whether this morning's blaze is linked to a fire which destroyed eight scooters at the exactly same location, where Domino's delivery scooters are parked, in September last year. Detective Inspector Jason Weinstein confirmed that last year's investigation was ongoing and there were no suspects. "That investigation is still open," he said, and nobody had been charged. Anyone with information about the fire, or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area about that time, should contact Kings Cross Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. So the question is, what would you call a scooter bonfire?
