The Plant A Tree Project Sat 29 March - any eco-riders here?

Discussion in 'VIC' started by wings9000, Mar 28, 2008.

  1. The Plant A Tree Project

    The plant-a-tree project is a student-led initiative to raise awareness of environmental issues among university students. We intend to plant native trees at a local park in order to offset the carbon emissions produced by a typical student, connect with nature, and hopefully have some fun!

    Please feel free to bring along as many friends so that we can get a maximum amount of trees planted on the day.

    * Date: Saturday 29 March 2008
    * Time: 10 am to 12 pm
    * Place: Fairfield Park, Heidelberg Road

    A group of us will be leaving from the Monash Road pedestrian crossing (outside Asia Centre, campus map reference H21, Gate 4) at 9 am on the day - look for the PLANT A TREE PROJECT signs. You're very welcome to come with us, or just rock up at the park if this is more convenient.

    (vegetarian also available)

    * Attire: Please wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing that you wouldn't mind possibly getting dirty.

    * Other info: Hand tools and gloves will be provided.

    If you have any further questions or queries, feel free to contact us.

    Look forward to seeing you there!!

    So how much CO2 does a bong produce each year? :LOL:
