Tacho mystery

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' at netrider.net.au started by Bravus, Apr 5, 2007.

  1. The tacho on my Spada stops working if the bike stays dry for too long, but if I ride it in the rain the tacho starts working again. Sadly, we're in the middle of a drought. My best guess is a dodgy connection somewhere that water helps bridge, but it works for weeks after getting wet, not hours, so it's a bit of a mystery to me.

  2. Thats a good one... I'd say youre correct in the water makingt a bridge. Maybe follow the lead along its path and hit it with a hairdryer. If all else fails, give the bike a spray over before every ride

  3. I'm going to guess some form of poor earth from the instruments.
