[Syd] Pre-learner course at Botany RTA

Discussion in 'New Riders and Riding Tips' started by cam77, Dec 1, 2005.

  1. Awesome.

Did my pre-learners course last weekend. I rode dirt bikes for years when I was a kid but gee it felt nice to get back on a bike of any type. *insert warm fuzzy feeling here*. Amazing to still enjoy it considering:....

I have to say we had the worst possible conditions - pissing rain coming in sideways, of course I don't have the proper equipment yet. Shoes soaked, couldn't get more wet if I jumped in a pool. We had a group of 5, with 3 poms, one of whom took "whingin' pom" to another level. And the instructor from hell. The funniest part was I spent 3/4 of the course thinking "this dude should work in the army", then he revealed he does some sort of stuff for the RAAF at Richmond.

Anyone else done the RTA Botany (Stay Upright) Course?
