Swing-arm Removal ~ Zeal

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by Garn Cook, Nov 11, 2012.

  1. Hello guys, I just removed the chain and back wheel, rear disk brake and stay bar.
    I removed both shocks.
I removed the swing-arm pivot via the 20mm hex headed nut and had have withdrawn the pivot.
I was about to lever the swing-arm out, and before giving it a nudge with a soft hammer I thought I would check to see if I have missed something.

  2. Sorry couldn't wait!
Gave it a nudge and found it comes out by moving upwards.
A metal plate on the right hand side of chassis prevents me levering it out horizontally to the rear.
  3. The metal I referred to above was a bracket that holds the rear brake rear light.
If this switch is removed the swingarm will pull out horizontally.
