SV650S 2009 Raised handlebars

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' started by spokiesv, Dec 14, 2012.

  1. Well I thought I would try this on my own as hubby is always the one sourcing info....
I have used the surch function but could not find anything related to my request.

I would like to know if anyone has modified their 2009 or later SV650S with raised handlebars, I would like to see what is involved because the front end is going to be modified to suit my condition and I would like to raise the handlebars for a more upright and comfy ride.

    Thank you in advance.
  2. you'll probably need to extend the front brake lines too and wires etc..
  3. Might have more luck at SVDU or SV Rider.
  4. Thanx for that I just wanted to try the familiar teretory.
  5. I'd jump on SVDU anyway, helpful bunch but not the most active forums. You can do helibars relatively easily, if you aren't comfortable drilling your current triple clamp then buy a spare on ebay, shouldnt cost much.
  6. I found a cool place called LSL engineering, they do a wonderful kit and hubby was so impressed with my efforts. He said we will go for that and mod my bike.

Again thank you all for the help.
