Suzuki GSX250F/Across tyre pressures?

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' at netrider.net.au started by newbie69, Jan 18, 2008.

  1. Hi,

Im looking for some advice on the tyre pressures for my bike.
Tyres have no markings indicating pressures & i dont have a manual.

Would I be right in suggesting around 29psi front / 33psi rear?

Any help would be much appreciated.

  2. I stand corrected but depending on the tyres fitted and bike load I'd be looking for 32 front 35 rear.

  3. Hi newbie69,

I have one of these bikes and I also have a manual. Regarding tyre pressure the manual states

    SOLO RIDING

    FRONT 29psi

    REAR 33psi

    DUAL RIDING

    FRONT 29psi

    REAR 36psi

  6. When I had an across, I ran the pressures 32 front and rear.

29 or less on the front kinda made it sluggish.

  7. But were you checking it cold, at home, with your own gauge, or only after riding to a servo?

You only need to do a few hundred metres for the tyres to start warming up and the pressure to rise by 1 to 2 psi.

29psi hot would be way too low...

    Cheers

PS Always add 2 psi to the required pressure when testing hot. If it's 29 cold, you need to make sure you have 31 when hot, and so on.
