Suzuka 8 Hour on Foxtel

  1. While not quite up to Hornet600's beloved Castrol 6 hour's standard I received the following release from Honda this very morning.

Road race fans will get a double dose of viewing pleasure this Sunday, September 4th on Foxtel where they can catch both round nine of the World Supebike Championships at Assen, as well as highlights from the Suzuka Eight Hour Endurance race held last month.

In his first outing in the world renowned Japanese race, Honda Australia’s Josh Brookes finished an impressive sixth aboard a satellite team prepared CBR1000RR.

Compatriot and second place runner in the current WSBK series, Chris Vermeulen also did the manufacturer proud, finishing in second place on his Seven Stars Team Honda.

Hondas once again dominated the event overall, finishing in the top six positions as many other manufacturers succumbed to the wet and wild conditions over the entirety of the race.

Twenty-two year old Brookes is now back on home soil to compete in the final two rounds of the Australian Superbike Championships where he currently leads both the 1000cc and 600cc classes.

The WSB/Suzuka Highlights broadcast on Fox Sports commences at 8 pm on Sunday night.
