Suspension rebuilds.....

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by FalomVtr, Sep 26, 2005.

  1. Just after some recommendations for suspension experts. Want to have my Firestorm front and rear re worked to get some better handling. So, who have you used and who would you say is worth the outlay of cash??

Thanks in advance for any help..

  2. Front

The general thing to do is upgrade the springs and put gold valves in.

I don't know how much this will mean to your bike.

If you can find someone that knows what they are doing, you can trick up your rear shock for about $350-400.

Aftermarket start at $750 for basic replacements up to $1500 plus for White power or Ohlins type stuff.

I had a chat with Terry Hay of Walacia (NSW) the other week and he filled me with more confidence then others I spoke to. When I get a bit more cashed up I'm going to get him to give my rear shock the once over.

You can fiddle with the front a bit yourself, by mucking around with fluid weights and amounts.
