Supercar Destroys 10 Bikes

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by grange, Jul 12, 2012.

  1. Hitting anything in your Lamborghini is bad.

Hitting 10 BMW motorcycles and a building is a nightmare.

A Lamborghini owner in Italy has crashed his Murcielago into a BMW bike dealership.

According to reports from local news outlet La Provincia the driver lost control of his V12 supercar, spun across the road and slammed into a line of bikes displayed out the front of the dealership.

The crash took out all the bikes and scooters parked in front of the shop and smashed the front windows of the building.

Fortunately the car didn’t enter the shop and there were no injuries reported by the dealer or customers.

Although the driver and passenger reportedly walked away from the crash uninjured, the same can’t be said for the car.

The Murcielago, which is powered by a 6.2-litre V12 engine capable of producing 426kW and cost more than $600,000 when new, looks like a write-off in photos of the aftermath posted on the La Provincia website.

Almost the entire passenger side of the car is severely damaged, with the front corner completely torn-off in the accident.

He’s not the first Lamborghini owner to be involved in a spectacular crash. Earlier this year an American entrepreneur completely destroyed a Lamborghini Aventador when it caught fire on a test drive.

And last year an American man crashed his Lamborghini Murcielago just hours after he won it in a competition.

  3. Right, I am bookmarking this story. When ever I screw up and do something wrong I am going to look at this story and think well at least I didn't do that.

  6. holy shit, that is going to be one expensive bill.

he was probably showing off his expensive whip and got a bit carried away... what an absolute .....
  7. Damn... Poor bikes didnt stand a chance...
  8. Well the bikes can't have been speeding.
  9. Seems that the outcome is much more scary when it's a car that's doing 68kph.
  10. Well if those conceited assholes hadn't parked where he was trying to drive this never would have happened.

  11. It's the bikes fault becuase their headlights weren't on and they weren't painted safety yellow and.. and.. and...
  12. on a side note the bike shop now has a special deal on bmw never been used but a little shop soiled
  13. There's a perfectly reasonable explanation. There was this cat you see, the driver thought it was running at 60km/h but it was in fact travelling at 68km/h. He swerved to avoid and hit the 10 motorcycles and building that had inconveniently gotten in the way. We can't blame the cat because its only an animal, and drivers are never at fault in bike vs car accidents. Obviously the building can't be at fault, so it's only reasonable to assume the 10 motorcyclists (in this case mostly owned by BMW) should foot the bill to pay for all this unnecessary damage. Seems logical to me.

  14. Wonder what his new premium will be?
  15. lets face it, if you can afford a car like that, you can afford to run a few parked bikes over.
  16. Great deals on showroom BMWs, only dropped once.
  17. They bikes didn't have their lights on, they were parked where the car was going, "sorry mate i didn't see ya", not enough hi-vis and the bikes were obviously doing something dangerous. Cmon bikers pick your game up tsk tsk.
  18. There is 1 still standing behind the glass. He will have to try again to see if he can pick up the spare.

Tapa Tapa Tapa Tapa Tapa Tapa Tapa
  19. On the plus side, there'll be a few more Beemer shaft drives on the used spares market.
